Baylor Scott & White Health has rebranded a Sunnyvale hospital that was part of a five-facility joint venture with Tenet Healthcare that closed earlier this year.

Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale will now be known as the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center — Sunnyvale. The first to be rebranded was Baylor Scott & White Medical Center — Lake Pointe (née Lake Pointe Medical Center), which got its new name and logo just over a week ago. Still to come are Centennial Medical Center in Frisco and Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake. The fifth hospital involved, Baylor Medical Center at Garland, is already appropriately branded.

The renamed hospital will be governed by a board of managers equally represented by Baylor Scott & White and Tenet. It will also provide at least 4 percent of its care as charity, as mandated by the federal government to keep its nonprofit status.
