Then you’ll definitely want pencil Jan. 27 from 6 to 8 pm onto your calendar as the day when Brackets will host Texas Wesleyan University Table Tennis team (winner of 41 National Championships in the last nine years) for an exhibition match during a TWU alumni event.
Don’t sweat it if you’re not an alum; the event is open to all and is free. Plus, Brackets will be pouring some signature cocktails: the Bacon Whiskey Manhattan and the Curley Punch. (TWU alums get one for free; the rest of us have to pay. But still.)
I’d put money on the fact that the party stands a slim chance of wrapping up at eight; those paddlers like to party. And don’t go calling me if you wake up spooning a cutout of Chairman Mao. You’ve been warned.
