D CEO is proud to announce the finalists for its 2022 Financial Executive Awards. Presented in partnership with Financial Executives International, Association for Corporate Growth, and TXPCA-Dallas, the program honors top corporate finance executives in Dallas-Fort Worth.
All 29 honorees will be recognized in the May issue of D CEO magazine and online; winners in various categories will be revealed at an exclusive awards event in May.
As part of the program, Tom Walker, chief financial officer of the Dallas Cowboys, will be honored with the Constantine “Connie” Konstans Excellence in Corporate Governance Award. It’s named for the late professor of accounting and information management at The University of Texas at Dallas who was D CEO’s first recipient of the award and a corporate governance pioneer.
Walker oversees finances for one of the world’s most valuable sports brands—and the Jones family’s affiliated interests. It involves becoming an expert on everything from professional sports to logistics to real estate to licensing deals, and much more.
Among those endorsing Walker for the prestigious award was the big boss himself, Jerry Jones, who wrote: “In my career, I don’t know anyone who has been exposed to as many varied, unique, and imaginative financial situations as Tom. His stability and his appetite for successfully handling these types of problem-solving opportunities is the best I have ever seen.
“I want to be around to see what is in store for his future,” Jones continued. “He clearly has a command of the multifaceted and creative nature of our organization’s businesses. With Tom’s instincts and talent, the sky is the limit.”
