The U.S is in trade talks for the COVID-19 vaccine. New COVID-19 cases are up statewide.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 526 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths on Friday and Saturday. It should be noted, that these totals differ somewhat from the state totals because of the way the numbers are calculated. Learn more about the discrepancy here.

More than a quarter of Texans have been vaccinated from COVID-19, the Texas Tribune reports. Average new cases were up across the state, and deaths remained the same from last week.


The U.S. is launching trade talks for the vaccine as demand wanes. The U.S. has received criticism at home and abroad for focusing on Americans as fewer people have wanted the vaccine ,WFAA reports.
