Cook Children’s Health Care System’s North Campus has begun with the opening of its 12-room pediatric and urgent care clinic, Phase I of the North Campus, a 23-acre site in Prosper. The clinic will join the eight primary care offices Cook Children’s already operates in Prosper.
The clinic is part of a larger project that will eventually build the first Cook Children’s hospital outside of Fort Worth. Phase II is already under construction and will include an outpatient surgery center and specialty clinic with imaging and lab services, which is set to open this spring. The inpatient hospital will open in 2022.
“Our population is expanding daily with approximately 30 families per week moving into Prosper,” said Mayor Ray Smith with the Town of Prosper via release. “These families with young children expect to be able to access good health care in the immediate area. The addition of Cook Children’s is the perfect solution. We are pleased to be able to tell our young moms and dads that there is a top-notch resource right here in Prosper.”

The Prosper facility will represent the fourth medical campus for Cook Children’s, which has surgery centers in Hurst and Plano in addition to the flagship campus in downtown Fort Worth.
