Medical City Fort Worth Maintains Stroke Center Certification

|

Medical City Fort Worth has earned a recertification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, confirming that the hospital has the staff, services, and expertise to treat stroke patients who need the highest levels of surgical and medical care.

CSC is awarded after an on-site visit that makes sure the facility meets the requirements of the CMS Conditions of Participation for Hospitals, Guidelines of the Brain Attack Coalition, and recommendations of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The 320-bed comprehensive care hospital was the first in Tarrant County to receive the designation in 2013.

“Medical City Fort Worth is dedicated to providing the best care possible for patients who present at our hospital with stroke symptoms,” said Jyric Sims, CEO, Medical City Fort Worth via release. “The certification validates these efforts and ensures that we are following the highest standards to ensure that stroke patients have the best outcome possible.”
