Medical City Plano and Frisco Have a New Chief Development Officer

James Mendez has been promoted to Chief Development Officer of Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco. He was promoted from his role as vice president of business development at the two hospitals. Medical City Frisco a 53-bed acute care hospital, is a campus of Medical City Plano, which is a 513-bed facility with more than 2,000 employees and 2,000 physicians.

Mendez has been on the leadership team for the two hospitals since February 2018, where he worked on physician recruitment efforts and directing growth and business development. He will focus on strategic development and recruitment for both hospitals in his new role. He started his career as a registered respiratory therapist and was Market Chief Executive Officer for Kindred Hospital in Dallas.

“James is a valuable leader and has made impressive and positive contributions to our success in expanding our healthcare services to the communities we serve in the North Texas region,” said Charles Gressle, chief executive officer of Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco, via statement. “We look forward to continued progress that Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco will make under James’ leadership in strategic business development.”
