Turn The Tables Hospitality (the folks behind SMOKE, Bolsa, Bolsa Mercado, Chicken Scratch, The Foundry, and Spork) has announced that they’re opening The Theodore at NorthPark Center this fall. According to the release: “Offering reimagined American classics, the restaurant is inspired by the spirit of the iconic Teddy Roosevelt and an era of American history full of wonder and discovery.”

James Beard award-winning executive chef of SMOKE and Turn The Tables culinary director Tim Byres will offer shared plates such as oxtail and beef shank stuffed peppers with white bean puree; mushroom, parsnip, dried tomato, and pecorino flatbread; and dry cured ham and fruit mustard toasts.

The space is designed by Droese Raney Architecture (Forty Five Ten, Neiman Marcus’ Zodiac Restaurant, Billy Reid) and features a library-esque dining area with all the trimmings: A fireplace, books, and “worldly decor” as well as private nooks, a lounge, and a street side patio. The Theodore will take over the space between Macy’s and Nordstrom formerly occupied by Luna de Noche.

The Theodore also boasts an open-air bakery. David Norman of acclaimed Austin bake shop and beer garden Easy Tiger will step into the role of The Theodore’s bakery consultant.

The Theodore is slated to open this fall is at the north entrance of NorthPark Center between Nordstrom and Macy’s.
