Five anchor restaurants will soon set up shop at the Dallas Farmers Market. Rex’s Seafood Market, Stocks & Bondy, Palmieri Cafe, Nammi/Coolhaus and a restaurant concept from Firebird Restaurant Group (El Fenix, Meso Maya, Snuffer’s) are scheduled to move into The Market (previously Shed 2), after it opens in spring 2015. Rex’s Seafood Market, owned by Rex Bellomy, is a definite go-to spot for fresh seafood in Dallas. His new market location serves as a restaurant and a seafood market. Chef Joanne Bondy — previously of Ciudad and Old Hickory Steakhouse at the Gaylord Texan — opens Stocks & Bondy. Palmieri Cafe is a coffee shop, serving a variety of pastries and gelato. Nammi and Coolhaus (food trucks owned by Teena Nguyen and Gary Torres) combine forces to offer Vietnamese food and ice cream sandwiches. As for the mysterious Firebird Restaurant Group concept, nothing has been released yet. Any guesses?

Update: Our food truck expert, George Lewis, reports that in addition to the five restaurants already mentioned, Cajun Tailgators will be setting up shop at the market, too. “You must have the crawfish pistolette.” he said.
