Join Us for D CEO’s Cancer-Focused Healthcare Panel Breakfast

|

Texas is 13th in the country in number of cancer deaths at 149 per 100,000, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, and part of the reason Texas has such a high ranking despite being one of the most uninsured states in the country is the strength of the medical community and its ability to stay on the cutting age of cancer research and treatment. To dig deeper into these strengths, D CEO will host our second D CEO Healthcare Breakfast Panel Discussion to explore how our region is shaping cancer treatment.

As Americans live longer and cancer becomes more prevalent and better understood, healthcare professionals are pushing and competing to continue their progress and treat cancer more effectively. We are inviting some of the biggest names in cancer treatment for a panel discussion about how they are working to do just that in North Texas.

We will discuss cutting-edge research, progressive treatments, how healthcare administrators make decisions about where to invest and which strategies to adopt.

Join us for a panel discussion featuring:

  • Dr. Carlos Arteaga, Director, Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern
  • Dr. Ted Laetsch, Associate Professor at UT Southwestern, and Director of Experimental Therapeutics Program, Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Health
  • Dr. Steven Paulson, President, Texas Oncology
  • Melissa Threlkeld, Regional VP of Oncology Services, Medical City Healthcare

This event will happen the morning of Thursday, Oct. 18. Registration begins at 7 a.m., and the discussion will start at 7:45 a.m. Learn more and buy tickets at the Eventbrite page, and you’ll want to hurry because these events tend to sell out.

We’ll see you on Oct. 18.
