Check Out the Second Asian Night Market at The Bomb Factory

Hope you're hungry for bao and boat noodles.

What a difference six months makes. In July, an event showcasing Asian street food took over The Bomb Factory. The event was the first from Dallas Night Markets, a group dedicated to showcasing local Asian food and its creators.

Since then, several of what were once pop-ups have gone brick-and-mortar. The second Asian Night Market, which will fill the same venue on Sunday, January 13, is celebrating the new year with over 13 chefs. It’s a chance to check out their food and get excited. Among those that put down roots since July: the Laotian Khao Noodle Shop settled in East Dallas (if you have not gone yet, you must). Ka-Tip is set to start serving its Thai food soon. And Four Sisters landed exceptional pho in Fort Worth (again, worth a trip). Other participants include Bowl Mami, Niwa Japanese BBQ, Matcha Craft, and SXSE Food Co.

The offerings will range from Filipino, Vietnamese, Laotian, Thai, Korean, and Japanese. Case in point: Niwa’s sukiyaki bao stuffs thinly sliced rib-eye, seared tofu, shiitake mushrooms, and a sous-vide egg yolk between the layers of a pillowy steamed bun and tops them with micro mizuna. Each venue will serve two items, one of which will be original for the event.

The event runs from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Entertainment will include local DJs, lion dancers, break dancers, and others. Admission is $12 ($25 for VIP). All food is under $10. Purchase advance tickets here.
