Continuing to experience rapid growth, Softlayer will move to a larger home in February. The global tech company has leased 125,000 square feet in Stanford Corporate Center off the Dallas North Tollway. Its current headquarters is at 4849 Alpha Road.

Clay Vaughn, Steve Rigby, and Mike Cleary of CBRE represented Softlayer in its search and lease.

“It was imperative that the majority of its Dallas employees continue to work under one roof to preserve the culture that they had worked so hard to build, and remaining in Dallas County was critical,” Vaughn said. “Stanford Corporate Center was the perfect fit because of its location, nearby amenities, and the ability to accommodate future hiring growth.”

The new space can accommodate more than 700 employees. Softlayer, which was acquired by IBM in 2013, expects to continue growing its ranks, particularly in sales, marketing, finance, and product development.

Henry S. Miller Cos.’ Jerry W. Averyt and Greg Trout, formerly with Henry S. Miller, represented the landlord, TCI Stanford LLC. CBRE’s Brooke Scheurich and Fred Noblett are overseeing project management, in readying the new space for occupancy.
