Heritage Bag Co. is relocating its corporate headquarters and Southwest division manufacturing facility to Roanoke. The company will move from its current home in Carrollton to a 330,000-square-foot facility within the Alliance Gateway section of AllianceTexas, Hillwood’s 18,000-acre development that sprawls across northern Fort Worth.

The largest producer of institutional can liners and food bags in North America, Heritage Bag Co. operates six manufacturing facilities across the United States. It relies upon a network of distributors to get products to customers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Clients include companies involved in food-service, lodging, healthcare, education, and manufacturing, as well as commercial buildings.

“We feel this new state-of-the art facility will help us to meet our growing needs, allow greater flexibility and access to reach our distribution partners across the U.S., said Carl A. Allen, president and CEO, in a statement.

Construction of the new facility is expected to get under way next month.

Heritage Bag is the latest company to sign on for space at Alliance. In 2013, Hillwood Properties secured nearly 6 million square feet in leases from new and existing tenants.
