Southwestern Health Resources Clinically Integrated Network’s new senior executive officer will be Dr. Andrew Ziskind. The organization serves the healthcare needs of more than 900,000 people across 16 counties in North Texas and includes a 4,000 physician network through its accountable care organization.
Southwestern Health Resources was founded in 2015 as a partnership between UT Southwestern and Texas Health Resources and includes 29 hospitals in the region. The network saved $70 million in Medicare spending in 2017, and was the top ranked organization in the country for Medicare savings.

Ziskind in an who is an internal medicine and cardiovascular disease physician, and will be overseeing risk-based contracts, patient-centered care, and the Care N’ Care, which serves more than 13,000 Medicare beneficiaries. He previously served as senior vice president a Premier, a healthcare improvement company, had leadership positions at Huron Consulting Group and Accenture, and was recognized as one of the top 25 most influential consultants by Consulting magazine.

Podolsky is President of UT Southwestern Medical Center, who co-chairs Southwestern Health Resources with Barclay Berdan, FACHE, CEO of Texas Health Resources.
