It’s hard to pick a favorite thing about 5700 Westover Court. Do we go with the black lacquered kitchen and its Lacanche Sully range, or the major curb appeal points scored by its striking red brick exterior? Maybe we opt for the fact that this 1940s home is a shining paradigm of the power of restoration?
On second thought, that was a cruel exercise we inflicted upon ourselves, and we refuse to pick. Instead, we’ll simply choose to marvel at that kitchen’s black-lacquered cabinetry and coffered ceiling, and imagine what a stark (but cool) contrast it would be to move from such a moody space to the airy, pink- and white-filled sunroom. We’ll also spend some time pouring over the home’s insane before and after pics on Candy’s Dirt, which claims it took 13 coats of paint to give the kitchen its glossy look, and that the gorgeous Ludowici red tile roof was actually salvaged from a home in Tyler, Texas. (Restoration!)
