HALL Group hasn’t started signing owners yet within its condominium tower which broke ground in April, but the developer is already seeing strong interest from potential residents.
Lea Anne Laughlin, HALL Group vice president in charge of sales, has been touring interested buyers through a model unit within KPMG Plaza at HALL Arts, the office building to the west of where the Residences will deliver.
HALL Group launched the sales program for the HALL Arts Residences and will be converting reservations into contracts this fall. Though the 25-story tower could accommodate as many as 44 condos, that number will likely decrease as some residents opt to combine floorplans. Home prices start at $2 million.
Neighboring condo project Museum Tower was three-quarters sold as of May. The 42-story condo project also within the Arts District delivered in 2013 but got off to a slow start amidst a legal battle with the Nasher Sculpture Center over Museum Tower’s glare on precious artworks.
HALL Group founder and chairman Craig Hall and his wife, Kathryn, will move into the sixth and seventh floors of the tower when it’s completed in fall 2019. General contractor Austin Commercial is digging the development’s parking garage now, which is expected to take roughly four months.
Emily Summers Design Associates designed the interior of the condo tower, and HKS designed both the residences and hotel.
The condo tower will have an adjoining eight-story boutique hotel making the total project worth more than $250 million. The 183-room HALL Arts Hotel will be operated by Crescent Hotels & Resorts. A to-be-named restaurant will also open on the ground floor of the hotel with an entrance from Flora Street.
