Last night, the ladies of D Home paid a visit to Kappa Tablescapes by Candlelight, the annual preview party before the Tablescapes Luncheon, being held today at the Dallas Country Club. More than 50 shops and designers decked out the tabletops in imaginative, beautiful ways, a sample of which you can see above. This year’s featured speaker, author/interior designer/cook/garden-to-table lifestyle expert/one of those irritatingly perfect people who’s good at everything James Farmer, was among the 700 expected attendees who sipped, snacked, and admired the table displays. And though they’d likely make conversation with your cross-table companions difficult, they did an excellent job of making my dining table’s fall centerpiece look puny. Proceeds from the event, put on by the Dallas Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma, go to benefit a number of local charities you can read about here.
