Deceptively innocent.

Hello, everyone! I’m Michelle, Liz’s “wonderful, talented intern” who’s extremely flattered by the use of such adjectives to describe her. As Liz mentioned yesterday, I’ll be filling in for a few days and hopefully providing the same level of fun and flair you’re used to. I hope you all will join me in wishing Liz a safe and fantastic trip!

For all of us still trying to shake off the Mondays, The Rangers will be playing the Milwaukee Brewers at the Rangers Ballpark in continuation of what has been a pretty decent season (69 wins, 50 losses!). I’m not the biggest baseball buff, but my friends assure me that’s a good thing in the baseball world, so I’m sticking with it. Previous all-nighters have confirmed that there are, in fact, healing properties in greasy, salty snacks and a cold beer, so Arlington may be your ticket to paradise for the night. Speaking of tickets: they’re still on sale.  Your price really depends on how much you want to catch a flyaway ball; seats range anywhere from 35 to 208 dollars, with the higher range (obviously) placing you much closer to the action. If you do happen to catch any prizes out there, be sure to do a little post-game bragging at Humperdinks.

For the rest of us non-jocks, there’s the Inwood Theatre’s screening of “We’re the Millers,” the quirky chronicles of a pot dealer’s quest to wipe his slate clean in the eyes of his big-time supplier. I have to admit I’m interested in finding out if reading multiple articles about Jennifer Aniston’s pre-shooting diet was worth it. (Probably not.) The movie’s official release date was last Wednesday, so there’s a good chance you’ve missed the rush and might be able to grab a theater all to yourself.

If you’re still geared up by the late night, head over to Sundown at the Granada for DJ Blake Ward’s “The Showdown,” his Tuesday weekly at one of Dallas’ late-night staples. The food’s always good, the drinks are always cheap ($3 Fireman’s #4 and $4 Infusions) and Blake’s still spinning the hits as usual. If you’re not familiar with his style, take a peek at his FrontRow profile. A little has changed in the past month (he’s shut down his Friday night residency, Nite Versions), but I have no doubt he’s still one of Dallas’ most hardworking DJs. He’ll be grooving with local 90s/00s band The Clinton Years. Time to soak up some nostalgia.

For more to do tonight, go here.

[Update: Emma Roberts is in We’re the Millers, not Emma Watson. We got it.]
