1. Remember when being 4-3 after Week 7 would have had Cowboys’ fans high-fiving each other? It wasn’t all that long ago. Now, it has folks like Tim Cowlishaw calling for Wade Phillips to be fired. And it has Jerry Jones issuing classic Jerry Jones lines such as, “I’ve had all the fire knocked out of my butt tonight.”
2. W. might be controversial, but not too many people seem to care. The George W. Bush biopic came in fourth at the weekend box office. Director Oliver Stone said late Sunday, “I’ve had all the fire knocked out of my butt tonight.”
3. And finally, the State Fair of Texas has once again come to a close. Despite making tentative plans at least a handful of times, I didn’t end up going. What did I miss?
