Tony Romo = Nicest Guy Ever

|

I listen to Kidd Kraddick in the mornings (sue me). Today, Kidd read a letter from a listener who relayed a story about Southlake Carroll’s playoff loss last week to Abilene. If you didn’t already hear, back-up quarterback Kyle Padron was playing for the injured Riley Dodge, and while taking a knee to set up for a last-minute, game-winning field goal, Padron fumbled the snap. Abilene recovered the ball and won the title game.

This listener claimed that Padron received a phone call later that week from none other than Tony Romo, who knows a thing or two about fumbling a snap in a big game. Tony gave him a pep talk, told him to shake it off and go out next year and have a season like the Cowboys are having now. Now I have no way of confirming this story, but I believe it because, well, I just want to. In my head, Padron then said, “Aw, shucks. Thanks Tony, you’re the greatest!” Then Tony gives Padron’s hair a tousle and rides off on a horse.
