Dave Levinthal at the DMN has word that (now former) WFAA reporter Chris Heinbaugh will come aboard as Mayor Tom Leppert’s new chief of staff later this month. Heinbaugh became dead to me several months ago, during my ill-fated mayoral campaign, when he ambushed me about my voting record, or lack thereof. (I still maintain I voted in more than 25 percent of the elections. It’s not my fault I was issued a voter’s registration card under the name “Zavhary Crain.”) But I’m sure he’ll do a great job as Mayor Leppert’s new right-hand man.
