Their innovative wetsuit gets an ab-tastic endorsement in Baywatch . (Too much?)

Well, the reviews are in. Baywatch’s most dramatic moments probably won’t be played back during The Oscars this year. But will that stop me and every other person who feels affection for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and modern-day-Adonis Zac Efron from eventually seeing it? I mean, I really can’t say, but I can guarantee that I personally will lay eyes on this “film” at some point.

And when that day finally arrives, I’ll know that I’ll feel a small but significant surge of Dallas pride when, at some point, Efron’s character rocks a Roka wetsuit. The actor, whose brother is a triathlete, has become a vocal supporter of the Dallas-based multisport brand and can be seen sporting a Roka wetsuit or their sunglasses on his Instagram (of which I am a frequent viewer).

PR and marketing for the brand, which launched in 2013, has predominately been word of mouth from athletes. “As the brand expands, we’re starting to see interest from a second set of influencers. Zac Efron, this big Hollywood movie star, loves Roka,” says co-founder Rob Canales. “He’s posts a picture fly fishing wearing our Phantom aviators, and it’s super organic.”
