If you were among the throngs of people who stopped by The Dallas Flea earlier this month, then you probably received a handout about the bi-annual event’s fresh new name, FleaStyle, its new location in Fair Park, and a hint that there’s even more coming soon.
So, with an overwhelming desire to know more, we went straight to the source, owner/founder Brittany Cobb. The former lifestyle editor and Dallas Flea mastermind graciously answered every question we had about her revamped passion project, so we’re going to pay it forward, and give Flea fans a bit of an idea of what’s to come on December 1.

Why December 1? Because that’s when FleaStyle.com launches, giving vendor hopefuls their first opportunity to apply online. In the past, Cobb has done all the legwork, actually reaching out to the vendors she’s loved and discovered. (Her personal attention is what has given The Dallas Flea its curated feel.) As the event has grown, Cobb began to realize she would need a new system for discovering talent. Vendor hopefuls can apply for 2016 shows over the course of four weeks (December 1-31), and Cobb and her team will hand select their favorites.
The new site will also give Cobb an outlet to return to her writing roots, to cultivate FleaStyle.com’s editorial content. Expect flea shopping tips, DIY projects, and vendor spotlights, which will allow shoppers beyond Dallas and Houston to discover the area’s incredible local artists.
Triple the Fun at Fair Park
With triple the square footage and additional parking, “It’s massive, vintage, and fun,” Cobb says. “It’s a little out of the way, but we’re a destination event, so I feel like our fans are going to follow us.”
Oh Hey, Houston
Houston has always been the next step in Cobb’s mind, but 2016 will mark the realization of that goal. There will be four Flea Style events next year, two in Dallas, and two in Houston. Cobb plans to expand to more new cities in the coming years. Her dream destination: Nashville.
