Stormy Finds a New Home. After Stormy the dog was found in a storm drain last week, so many people lined up to adopt the pup that Dallas Animal Services decided to hold a drawing. Nearly 100 people gathered at the shelter Sunday to throw their names in the hat, and Mike and Donna Carruthers of Fort Worth came out winners and adopted the dog.

Perot Museum Turns 1, Exceeds Expectations. Approximately 1.3 million people toured the nature and science museum in its first year, nearly 50,000 memberships have been sold, and more than 230,000 visited on school trips. Not bad.

Black Friday Crazies Were Out in Full Force, But Spending Less. I don’t know why you’d face the mall on Black Friday when you can shop from the comfort of your couch, but alas, 141 MILLION folks did and spent some $57.4 billion over the weekend  in the process, according to the National Retail Federation. The number of shoppers climbed 2 million, but spending declined 2.9 percent from last year.
