The beauty community has been abuzz lately with news of the Geisha Facial being offered by Shizuka New York in Manhattan. The secret ingredient is powdered nightingale droppings, known as uguisu no fun in Japan, which the spa claims will “brighten, heal and retexturize the skin due to its natural enzymes and guanine.” Sounds gross, yes, but as far as bird droppings go, you could do a lot worse than a nightingale. Screech owls and turkey vultures come to mind. So, Dallasites, what do you think? Would you be willing to try a fecal-friendly facial if it were offered here? I’m gonna go out on a limb and say sure, why not?
