The Dallas Look Casually Chic

THIS SUMMER, THE NEW MACHISMO IS COOL YET CLASSY FOR LOOKS THAT BURN.
|

Casual yet classic day-to-day style is the in look this summer. Designers are reinventing machismo, giving menswear some room to breathe. A staple of these seemingly thrown-together ensembles is the flat-front trouser, which has all but replaced the pleated pant. More functional in design with less fabric, these new trousers are flattering for all heights, sizes, and ages. The key to staying hip is never looking too tailored or primped; opt instead for a seductively relaxed look.

Men’s shirts are sporting squared-off hemlines with side vents, as the trend follows button-downs over pullovers. Again the motif is comfort, and untucked is the ticket this season. Wild prints-retro, geometric, or Hawaiian- add zip and personality to the look.

Men’s fashion follows women’s suit with the reintroduction of color-palest pink possibly being the most divine. The lightweight leather jacket is as necessary for combating erratic Texas weather as it is for completing the perfect outfit. It looks right with anything from jeans to khakis and accents any pair of shoes. Speaking of footwear, toss the tassles for now and go for the streamlined slip-on. Reincarnated penny loafers or driving moccasins will take you from in the office to a night on the town.

This summer there are only two rules to follow: & fortable. Be yourself.
