{Neighborhood: Highland Park}
After browsing the magnificent abodes of this year’s AIA Dallas Tour of Homes, it’s clear that any house associated with the organization has to have something special. 3908 Euclid Avenue, with its clean lines, light bricks, and soaring walls of glass, certainly has that something. Designed by Oglesby Greene Architects, the private residence earned the firm an AIA Dallas Design Award in 1996 and has also received awards from the National Association of Landscaping and the International Association of Lighting Designers. Basically, this house is kind of a big deal.
The Highland Park home actually takes up two 70 x 225 lots; one for the main home, built in 1991, and one for a separate pool/guest house, which was built in 2005. Though the spacious, skylight-filled home with its towering glass walls might seem all too susceptible to voyeuristic home oglers or nosy neighbors, a look at the “Street View” on Google Maps shows that the award-winning landscaping also offers a good amount of privacy. So you know, if Taylor Swift fell in love with Dallas while she was in town performing last weekend, and decided to live here forever (and become our best friend), this would be pretty solid situation for her, Dr. Meredith Grey, and Detective Olivia Benson.
