Today we’re chatting with Kristy Adams, interior designer and owner of her eponymous shop, about what inspires her day-to-day life. The SMU alum has everything from furniture and color palettes to jewelry, fitness regimes, and beauty products on her list — let’s dive on in!

P.S. Don’t forget to stop by her shop on January 25 for a celebration of everything Downton Abbey.

1. Nespresso Citiz Espresso Machine with Aeroccino Frother: My Christmas present to myself, this machine makes the best cappuccino with the perfect frothed milk. With the new Nespresso store in NorthPark center, I can try a different type of espresso every week!

2. Hard Night, Good Morning Oil Cleanser and Makeup Remover: I discovered this extraordinary skincare line a couple of years ago, and the PM Oil Cleanser is a miracle for dry winter skin. It leaves your skin clean without feeling dry, and can also be used on your hair, to add extra shine, and as an eye makeup remover.

3. Tom Ford – Fleur de Chine Eau de Parfum: Earthy and exotic – a little bit floral but very warm and cozy. Anything Mr. Ford touches is amazing and this sleek bottle looks so sexy on my vanity.

4. Lucite and Silver Antlers: Sculptural, sleek and oh, so Texas! They were in my Christmas wreath, now they nest in a tray being beautiful! They would also be amazing in the center of a dining table, with bark wrapped candles, and lots of roses. From Kathy Adams Furniture + Design.

5. The Woods Jewelry: Beautiful pieces that are very wearable and special. I absolutely love the mix of natural stones, fossils and uncut stones.  Perfect with a T-shirt or a cashmere sweater.  Thank you Forty Five Ten for showcasing this extraordinary collection.

6. Warm Blush Palette: I am loving these colors together as a newer, cleaner, warmer earth toned vibe – perfect for a bedroom. Benjamin Moore’s Warm Blush, Dash of Pepper, and Gray Huskie, is the right mix of sophisticated femininity.

7. Geode Chairside Table: This geode table from Marge Carson is a beauty. A combination of geometric with an embedded geode, “peeking” out from the interior — it is certainly a conversation piece, and a great little update to my fireside chair.

8. PG Tips Tea: England’s #1 Tea!  The best way to warm up in the winter.

9. Summit Climbing Gym: A great workout and tetris-like problem solving. Getting to the top of that rock wall…..WOW – I can conquer the world! My sore abs and my calluses thank you, Summit.

10. Gucci Gold Studded Interlocking GG Leather Belt: The perfect combo of rocker and a classic insignia. Looks amazing with my red lace dress and a leather bomber jacket, as well as my favorite pair of Rag & Bone jeans.

11. Angela Kallus Rose Paintings at Marty Walker Gallery: Delicate and complicated, her rose paintings are my new obsession.

12. Salted Carmel Popcorn Macarons from Chocolate Secrets: The perfect salty, sweet crunchy bite– absolute heaven. All the treats at Chocolate Secrets are divine, but these are buttery perfection.
