SaraFayTastemakerSara Fay Egan is known for her classic taste, grace under pressure, and southern hospitality (she’s a Memphis transplant). Egan, owner of Jackson Durham Floral|Event Design, has been planning, producing, and designing events and weddings for ten years. She can whip up the perfect floral arrangement for an intimate affair or design a party for thousands. And she does it all while making it look so easy. So, we had to know. What are her must-haves when she’s entertaining at home? What inspires her? What can she not live without? (We share an affinity for Gap skinny jeans and Leontine.) She explains her curated list after the jump:

1. Pomikaki Tokyo Tote: Love these stylish tote’s to carry my laptop and samples. I leave it in the car and take it with me everyday. Great  for a girl on the go!

2 . Garden and Gun– My favorite guilty pleasure read. I read every word beginning to end. It makes me feel like I am back at home.

3. Surprise Balls: Get them at annegracepapers.com or at Anne Grace Designs at Cabana on Lovers Lane. They are fun balls with different surprises wrapped up inside. This is such a fun way to liven up a dinner party.

4.  1969 Gap Always Skinny Jeans: I have them in every color. I never buy expensive jeans anymore because this jeans fit perfectly and have such great colors and patterns for each season.

5. JK Cheddar Cheesies with Texas Heat:  You have probably seen their tiny microchip cookies which are delish, but they just started making micro size cheese wafers. Perfect to put on the bar at any event or they make great party favors. Get it at jkchocolate.com.

6. Amanda Talley Paintings: Sold at her studio in New Orleans or at Blue Print in Dallas. Such a fun pop of color for your home. All of her designs incorporate a continuous circular motion and every painting is one of a kind.

7.  Leontine Linens: Beautiful linens make me happy! This New Orleans company has the most beautiful hand sewn monograms for any linen.

8. La Tortuga in Monterosso: My favorite restaurant in Monterosso, Cinque Terre Italy. It is built into the rock of the cliff and the most amazing Italian food. It is where my husband and I had our first date and just celebrated our sixth anniversary.

9. Chaffe McIlhenny Wine Glasses: Love his hand blown wine glasses in all the colors. You can have a set of one color or mix the colors and it is a beautiful way to spice up your tabletop!

10. Swanson Wine- Swanson Alexis has always been one of my favorite wines. I am always looking for a great hostess gift  and Swanson makes their wine with these cute party labels. A great wine and cute packaging!
