Friday Fun with ID Collection’s Jim Williamson

It’s Friday. We’re all tired and cranky and suffering from stinky allergies. But my sweet love, ID Collection’s Jim Williamson, is here to cheer us up. It has been yet another crazy week, and I’m glad it’s almost over. I feel like every allergen has found its way to me. Every morning, I wake feeling like the cat made a bed  in my nostrils. I’ve also been wondering if all my residential clients have taken early—like really early—summer vacations. And today, I decided to get a haircut since my BFF is driving up from Houston. While getting it done,  I heard the stylist gasp, “Oops.”

Anyway, last night I was able to catch up with a very good friend over dinner—one which we have rescheduled way too many times. Speaking of catching up, I forgot to tell you about our private dinner last week with DeDe McGuire from The K104 Morning Show. We met DeDe almost a year ago at an underground dinner hosted by Chef Dat. Long story short, we arrived late, and our table…Well, let’s just say that ever since I decided to become Husband No. 4 , it seems like we always get the worst table possible. We’re either seated next to unruly children or people suffering from mental breakdowns caused by ex sightings. DeDe noted that we were unhappy—or maybe she just noticed the 15 bottles of wine between the two of us. Whatever the reason, she invited us to join her table, and there you have it.

Fast forward to last week,  DeDe invited us to a dinner party, which also included the lovely and talented Debbie Denmon of WFAA. The dinner was prepared and served by the lovely and charming Enjolik R. Oree-Bailey of Low Country Quisine at LCQ. The food was good and we laughed and laughed and had way too much fun. I promise the spiked peach tea had nothing to do with it. I can’t share some of the stories on our PG13 blog, but if DeDe ever invites you to dinner, you must go! You can thank me later

Now on to our image. This is from the Country Collection from Designers Guild. I grew up in the country, and trust me, it didn’t look anything like this. But I think this collection has a much wider appeal if we just toss the country part  basically what I did when I left the nest) and mix some of these sweet patterns with cool color combos with just about anything, and just make it your own.

So there you have it. You got the lowdown on my week and we enjoy some low country cooking and decorating.  If you happen to run into me this weekend, and  it looks like they just pulled the electrodes from my head, you know why. I call it my “low country haircut.” Have a great Friday!
