The March 1982 issue of D Magazine features a spring and summer spread on the hottest fashion trends, a story about Billy Bob’s, and then there’s cover story titled “D‘s Dozen.” The six page guide highlights the twelve best restaurants in Dallas and Fort Worth. “If it were against the law to impersonate a restauranteur, most Dallas food handlers would be in jail,” the author writes, “The odds are against you when you walk into any of the 4,000-odd restaurants in the Dallas area expecting to sit down to a satisfying and rewarding dining experience.”
