Fast-casual restaurant, Unleavened Fresh Kitchen, opened yesterday in the Lakewood Shopping Center at 1900 Abrams Parkway.

The menu features a variety of salads and wraps, each main can be ordered rolled in a tortilla from Luna’s, or on a bed of greens. Options include a clubhouse with house-roasted turkey, pepper bacon, leaf lettuce, garden sprouts, tomato, avocado, and smokey garlic crema; the “Seaside” with tuna salad, arugula, garden sprouts, tomato, pickled onion, shaved carrots, and avocado; and the “Weekender” with buttermilk fried chicken, pepper bacon, leaf lettuce, tomato, shaved carrots, green onions, boursin cheese spread, and ranch dressing.

Other menu staples include handcrafted dips served with chips or raw veggies, quinoa and farrow salad, grilled sweet corn, and house-made soups. There’s also a kids menu.
“It’s important to us that our guests feel at home and comfortable, yet we also want the space to be interesting,” said owner Scott Piland in an email. He and his business partner, Tom Dynan, hired restaurant design firm, Mitchell Garman Architects, to design the 1,800-square-foot space.
Unleavened Fresh Kitchen is located at 1900 Abrams Parkway. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
