The Nothing Bundt Cakes chain continues to expand in North Texas, with new leases in Arlington, Flower Mound, Frisco, and Rockwall.

Led by former CiCi’s CEO Craig Moore, the company entered the Dallas-Fort Worth market in 2007 with a store in Southlake. It has since added venues in Dallas, Fort Worth, and McKinney. Next year stores will be added in Plano and the Lake Highlands area, bringing the North Texas total to 10.

Elizabeth Ellenwood of Venture Commercial Real Estate represented Nothing Bundt Cakes in its four new leases. Here are more details on the transactions:

• Flower Mound—Will open this month at 3634 Cross Timbers Road. Landlord broker: Mark Cohen of CenterPoint Commercial Properties.

• Frisco—Will also open in November, in the Frisco Corners I shopping center at Preston and Lebanon Roads. Landlord broker: Scottie Breault of Duggan Realty Advisors.

• Rockwall—This store will be located in The Plaza at Rockwall at 1035 E. Interstate 30. Landlord broker: Dorinda Cavender of The Woodmont Co.

• Arlington—Opened in August at The Village at Sports Center, 5001 S. Cooper St. Landlord broker: Scott Rose of The Retail Connection.

Nothing Bundt Cakes was founded in Las Vegas in 1997 by Dena Tripp and Debra Shwetz. The products range from bite-size “bundtinis” to tiered cakes, with flavors that include chocolate-chocolate chip, red velvet, carrot, white chocolate raspberry, among others. The chain has more than 30 locations across the United States.

In a statement, Moore, who serves as the company’s president and is also a North Texas franchisee, said site selection is a key part of the chain’s growth strategy. “As the specialty brand market continues to thrive despite a depressed economy, we believe now is a great time to expand the Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise,” he said.
