Few business continuity plans had specifics for dealing with the current global pandemic that has emerged with incredible speed and force. So, how are North Texas executives—and the companies they lead—faring?

As part of a new interview series called Executive Perspectives, D CEO editors talked with more than 40 top business leaders across various industries to find out. Along with business leadership, industry categories include banking and finance, food and beverage, manufacturing, real estate, retail, technology.

The Executive Perspectives will continue to be published daily throughout April and May. Here are a few snippets from stories that have already posted:

Mark Cuban, owner, Dallas Mavericks: “Perfection is the enemy of success. We are all dealing with imperfect information. We don’t know how or when things will end. Don’t let it paralyze you.”

David Holl, chairman and CEO, Mary Kay: “The COVID-19 crisis has exposed a wide range of learnings for organizations on how they approach business. But I think the most impactful thing I have seen is a reminder of what people can achieve.”

Ossa Fisher, president and COO, Istation: “I realize now how much of a better of a job we could have done for our remote employees, and I find it somewhat poignant that it took this shelter-in-place environment for us as a company to feel true empathy for our remote employees’ work-from-home experience.”

Steven Williams, CEO, PepsiCo Foods North America: “Retailers are the direct line to our consumers who are purchasing our products. They are facing new obstacles just as we are, and they need to know we are here for them, that they will have our product on shelves, and are up-to-date on how we’re adjusting our operations to serve them better.”
