LAST NIGHT’S FRONTBURNER EVENT

|

cars.jpgSo how was it? You should know, because you were there, right? You no doubt remember the scene-setting décor of racecars parked in front of the Lakewood Theater (pictured at left). You enjoyed pizza from Campisi’s–60 pizza’s worth. You helped put away two cases of Tito’s vodka. You made new friends. You influenced people. You witnessed me doing a bad imitation of a bad emcee before the movie started. You helped contribute to our Katrina relief fund. (We raised $550.36 by passing a few buckets around. Thank you so so so much. It feels good to do good, right? You should be proud of yourselves.) You enjoyed the screening of Dirt and enjoyed even more the hootin’ and hollerin’ the drivers did during it. You may have even enjoyed Tim’s bad impersonation of James Lipton during the Q&A with filmmaker at the end of the film. I know one FrontBurnervian in particular who enjoyed it. “Was it just me (or was it the vokda?) but isn’t Tim Rogers just the cutest thing to come out of Dallas in a long, long, long, long time?,” she wrote. “Tim, my faith in intelligent, good looking men from north Dallas was restored tonight (I live between Dallas and Fort Worth) so I thank you.” (Um, it was the vodka.)

Hope you all had as much fun as we did. See you at the next one.
