Dallas Police Kill Capital Murder Suspect; Cop Shot in Foot. The department says the suspect fired at police at a West Oak Cliff apartment complex off Bahama Drive near Fort Worth Avenue yesterday afternoon. Officers followed the suspect to the apartment complex, then yelled for the person to exit their vehicle. Instead, the person fired. Police shot back, striking and killing the suspect. An officer was shot in the foot, treated at a nearby hospital, and released. The department hasn’t identified the suspect or the the victim in the capital murder.

Prosper ISD Board President Arrested for Sexual Indecency With Child. Andrew Wilborn, 43, is accused of inappropriately touching a 16-year-old in April of last year. Wilborn was the executive pastor of Antioch Church when the incident occurred. Prosper ISD says the allegation does not include any of its students.

Southwest Braces For Another Rough Quarter. The Dallas-based carrier expects another three months of losses as passengers hold off following the December meltdown that canceled more than 15,000 flights nationwide. American, meanwhile, enjoyed a profit of $803 million in the last quarter, setting a revenue record of $13.19 billion. Southwest’s quarterly loss totaled $220 million, which you can add to the $800 million in direct losses from the cancellations.
