Texas surpasses 4 million total COVID-19 cases nearly 19 months since the first reported case of the disease, The Dallas Morning News Reports. The state reached 2 million total cases in January, and 3 million in July, according to state health department data. Texas’ reported cases are second-highest to California with 4.7 million total cases.

Pfizer COVID-19 booster is available across North Texas for people 65 or older, or at a higher risk. Locations offering a booster shot as of 9/27 include Parkland Hospital and CVS Pharmacies, reported by KERA. Denton County will be sending scheduling links to eligible people who received shots through the county’s public health department.
