Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 751 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday and Monday and 42 deaths. “While the number of deaths remain high, the number of cases and hospitalizations continue to trend lower,” Jenkins tweeted.
Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to combat misinformation and is encouraging the others in the Black community to do the same, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Texas voters are more open to sending kids back to school, according to a poll conducted by the Texas Tribune and the University of Texas. A majority of Texans, 55 percent, consider it safe to “send your child to school,” up from 44 percent in the October 2020 poll and 35 percent in the June survey.
