Pipeline Health and Cerner Enter Agreement

|

Hospital ownership and management company Pipeline Health has entered an agreement o switch to Cerner for their electronic health record, uniting the EHRs of all seven hospitals, 25 clinics, and 12 free-standing emergency departments within the Pipeline Health system, which includes City Hospital at White Rock.

“These are very exciting times ahead for our company. By investing in a new EHR we aim to improve efficiency, position our company for future growth and most importantly, improve health outcomes for patients served by our providers,” said Jim Edwards, CEO, Pipeline Health via release. “Bringing all of our facilities onto the same EHR will help improve clinical decision making and boost health data access for our clinicians and patients, both now and well into the future.”

Pipeline Health will add clinical, revenue cycle, ambulatory, and value-based care solutions with the new partnership, giving providers and patients access to records across multiple venues and at home, book appointments, and communicate with each other. Cerner’s software, which contracts with 27,500 providers worldwide, will replace multiple EHR systems across the nation in the next 28 months.

“The Cerner implementation provides the perfect opportunity to define and standardize our clinical, revenue cycle, supply chain, and financial operations across the entire enterprise,” said Robecca Quammen, Corporate CIO, Pipeline Health via release. “It is an exciting journey that will dramatically enhance the impact Pipeline Health has on the communities they serve.”
