She got $200,000 to walk away from her job as president and CEO of the Dallas Housing Authority, which under her watch spent $20 million in questionable rental assistance, including paying the rent for dead people. Apparently, Lott’s a big fan of the movie The Sixth Sense.
Stanley Leitner
As CEO and president of Megafund Corp., Leitner has been sentenced to more than 17 years in prison on charges of raising $15 million from friends, pastors, and family members and “investing” the money in an account in the Antilles. Part of that money allegedly went toward making a movie. Now maybe Stan’ll finally get around to filming the sequel to The Shawshank Redemption.
Gene Christensen
The former Congressional candidate and Celina resident has been charged with spending his anti-drug charity’s money on things like racing tires and tools to run his NASCAR truck team. When Christensen ran for Congress, he said he would bring change to Washington; he just didn’t get into the “nuts of bolts” of the matter to explain.
