There are two types of Barry’s Bootcamp devotees: the ones that thrive on the running portion, and the ones that prefer to double-floor it, steering clear of the treadmill altogether. But no matter how you take class, it’s hard to ignore the endorphin-inducing power of cardio, the most easily replicated portion of any Barry’s Bootcamp session.

To help you hit your stride this summer (or find it for the very first time), three Barry’s instructors share their go-to footwear.

Mercedes Owens

“My go-to running shoe right now is the Cloud shoe by On Running. It’s light, it’s supportive and it’s kept me from getting shin splints which is so crucial. When it comes to Clouds, you can absolutely believe the hype.”

Kelly Bennett

“My go to running shoe is the Saucony Triumph ISO. Recently, battling plantar fasciitis this shoe can be a game changer for those alike. It still offers bold designs which is important to me while also mixing functionality and extensive comfort.”

Michele Fennema

Nike Pegasus 35 is a great running shoe that works for everyone! Feels good on roads, treadmills, and floor training because of the cushion and grip. Durable and breathable so it will work in our ever-changing (rainy to super hot) Texas summer weather!”
