Senate Bill 4 Fans: Ken Paxton’s Got Your Back. SB4 has been through a lot. The “anti-sanctuary cities law” was supposed to go into effect September 1, but then in August a judge issued an injunction, blocking key elements of the bill. Then Monday, a trio of judges unblocked parts as the bill awaits its turn through the Appeal-O-Nator. Then yesterday, Ken Paxton announced that his office would be accepting sworn affidavits to complain about sanctuary city violations (which this guy says is B.S.).
