Philip Kingston: Now 50 Percent More Cocky!

On Saturday I talked to a Dallas council member who predicted that Philip Kingston would win re-election by a thin margin and that the close race would humble him. Instead, in what was billed as a referendum on his incivility, he beat Matt Wood handily, 55 percent to 42 percent. Sunday, Kingston did WFAA’s Inside Texas Politics (along with Dwaine Caraway). Tell me what you think. I put Kingston at 50 percent more cocky. He told people not to buy David Brown’s book. He dropped a casual “hell,” which is strong language for a Sunday morning. And when asked how he’ll work with the mayor, he answered: “Not well. And I haven’t worked well with him. It’s not my fault; it’s his fault.” Pretty entertaining video:
