Yep, you read that headline right. Able Gonzales, a notable fried food guru, will teach a cooking class tomorrow at the El Centro College Food & Hospitality Institute in Downtown Dallas (801 Main St, Rm C-100). The event, in recognition of the winners of the Fry Good, Do Good contest, is hosted by the City of Dallas Water Utilities’ Grease Abatement program. Class attendees will learn how to cook one of Gonzales’ famous State Fair creations, and learn about how to properly dispose of grease and cooking waste to keep Dallas’ pipes running smoothly. Fried sopapilla cheesecake anyone?
