The 2016 edition of The Best American Essays, out next month, was edited by Jonathan Franzen. Included in the list of titles comprising the “Notable Essays and Literary Nonfiction” is “Her Dark Places,”a story that Rod Davis wrote for D Magazine last year. The piece is about the writer Kathryn Marshall McClendon, a friend of Rod’s who committed suicide in the winter of 2014. A big congrats to Rod. Thank you for letting us publish your work.
