German Kitchen Studio Poggenpohl Opens in the Design District

Poggenpohl gets cooking in the Design District.

While most companies are cutting back, Poggenpohl is doing just the opposite. The German-based kitchen retailer is opening studios in major cities where there is market demand. Naturally, Dallas is at the top of the list. The company’s largest showroom in the United States opened its doors in August in the Design District—the perfect location choice partly because of the area’s recent revamp. Poggenpohl collaborates with well-known designers from companies such as Porsche to create cutting-edge kitchen designs. Think self-closing drawers, hidden refrigerators, and flat-screen televisions. Expect a full-service experience.
