Ever hang out at Bolsa? Then you’ve witnessed the handiwork of Plan B Group firsthand. Plan B partners Royce Ring and Alexander Urrunaga worked with Bolsa owners Christopher Jeffers and Chris Zielke to make their vision for the space a reality. The collaboration began over a cup of coffee and lasted almost a year. “Christopher and Chris had been going to Oak Cliff for many years, and they wanted to create something specific to that neighborhood,” Ring explains. “They needed us to create smart design on a budget.” So that’s exactly what Plan B did. The developers found innovative ways to use repurposed materials, they saved as many elements as they could from the existing structure, and they added unexpected industrial details like electrical boxes for tabletop decor. “We always think, ‘How could this work?’ We never know anyone else is going to think it’s as cool as we do,” Urrunaga says, laughing. The Plan B boys also worked with Jeffers and Zielke on designing the menu, logo, and website. The team brings that dedication to detail to projects (including hotels, retail, and residential) all over the world. Plan B’s currently hard at work on restaurant concepts in Moscow.
