Asleep At The Wheel

It’s hard to believe summer is over…so pack your picnic basket (and perhaps a little vino) and celebrate Labor Day with the Kings of Texas Swing at the Dallas Arboretum. The kids will have a blast dancing the night away.

From Sandy Beaches to Vibrant Arts – 30th Anniversary of the Bath House

Over 40 local and regional artists create pieces that look back at the building’s history from its original use as a popular recreational spot in the 1930’s to its most recent use as a place for the visual and performing arts in East Dallas. I’m looking forward to the short film by local artist, Paula Selzer, called “Growing Up Twins,” which tells the story of two twin sisters who grew up in the White Rock Lake area when swimming at the lake was still allowed.

Swimming

With summer’s end also comes the closing of our local pool for the season. Our family will be taking advantage of the last few days with lots of swimming and BBQ!
