I’ve heard that before,” I thought before trying the new Circ-Cell facial at Aqua Med Spa. But, oh no. I’ve been converted. Circ-Cell, a skincare line launched by Dallas native Maya Crothers and Melanie Simon might actually be as amazing as it’s touted. Though the products haven been around for a while for celeb-types and online shoppers, it’s new to Dallas, at Aqua Med Spa and Adrift Float Spa (kind of odd). My facial was nearly two weeks ago, but I’ve been following up by using the product regimen daily, and I’m thrilled. (Plus, the fact that you have to mix a powder product and separate serum together in your palm to make an overnight masque makes you feel like scientist, which is fun.) But here’s how Amanda Hughes (my very knowledgable Aqua esthetician) explained it to me. Basically, we’re exfoliation obsessed. (Think daily scrubs and monthly microdermabrasion.) But what about the cells that still need to turn over and grow into healthy cells? Are we allowing them enough time to develop and reach maximum potential? Probably not. This product is meant to stimulate the growth of the cells and allow them to mature to full health and reproduce other healthy cells, which can keep our faces looking younger longer. Doesn’t that make so much sense?
So, I suggest giving the facial a whirl. It’s relaxing and cell-stimulating, but definitely consider digging deep into your wallet ($135 for the facial and $280 for the products) and giving the Circ-Cell REM Masque products a try, too. That’s what’s making my skin look like a baby’s every morning. (In fact, I’m not wearing a stitch of foundation today.)
