HD Foundation

So, I’m always up for trying new foundations. Because I struggle with my skin, good foundation’s at the top of my priority list at all times. Unfortunately, I think I strike out a lot. So far—and this is just within the last three months—I’ve done Jane Iredale Pressed Powder, Pur Minerals, MAC Studio Fix Fluid, and Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra. The powder made me look too matte and older than I should look. The MAC was great, but at times, too heavy feeling. The Lancôme had a really great feel, but I haven’t been able to find exactly the right color to avoid the pinkish jaw-line problem. Anyway, I was sent an HD Foundation from Makeup Forever about a month ago. I mean, it makes sense. There’s HD TV. Why not HD makeup to go with it? It’s a logical consequence. (Unlike HD nail polish. Not necessarily logical, but interesting.) Back to the point, though, this oil-free foundation is meant to be lightweight, a perfect skin color match, and reflect light (hiding wrinkles and such). I’m pretty impressed with this stuff honestly. I wound up using it on my best friend (and her bridal party), who got married recently, for photos and it looked beautiful on absolutely everyone. (Coverage-wise, anyway. I mixed the girls’ foundations with this stuff to get the right color.) Bride loved it and ‘maids loved it. I love it for all the time, too. It’s good stuff. Coverage is nice, without feeling heavy. The color’s pretty, without turning me orange. Try Makeup Forever for yourself at Sephora.
